FSSAI Registration
Obtaining an FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) License.
The FSSAI license, also known as the Food License, is a mandatory permit required to launch a restaurant and is procured through FSSAI Registration (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India).
FSSAI, an independent body established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, came into existence in August 2011 under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. This establishment collaborated with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Central government.
Primarily, the FSSAI license acts as an endorsement of a restaurant's compliance with food safety standards, assuring consumers about the food's safety. It is a unique 14-digit registration number assigned to restaurants, manufacturers, and traders, mandatorily printed on food packages. This reassures consumers that they are dining at a place adhering to all safety food standards.
